Common Ground was delighted to be back in Birmingham and with the fantastic team at Mills & Reeve, which continues to support the Common Ground mission with its generous hospitality. This time, it was for one of the hugely popular ‘From Student to CEO Networking’ events, bringing together the students and young people of Birmingham with professionals from across the property and built environment sectors.

The room was buzzing with conversations, and new connections were being made throughout the session. It was brilliant to see how many students and young people were learning and listening to the diverse range of career stories around the room and exploring the many different routes into the built environment.

An honourable mention must go to all the students from University College Birmingham and South and City College Birmingham, who came along in large numbers, and showed genuine enthusiasm and willingness to develop their networking skills. We hope our partnerships with each institution can continue to flourish as we welcome more students and young people to the Common Ground Network for Life.

What’s next?

Common Ground’s next networking event will take place in London on 11 November, and you can find details of how to sign up here.

If you’re looking to broaden your network, meet people across the industry and discover where a career in the built environment could take you, this is the perfect event for you!
